Paula’s Love Story

My story dates back to 2015, during a job interview for a marketing position at Automated Parking Corp (APC). First time in my entire life that I heard about Automated Parking. I didn’t even know something like this existed.

After I got selected for the position, I had a little bit of cold feet, because all my life I was convinced that I DID NOT have a trace of technical aptitude in my brain; however, I do have a strong sense of curiosity and I do love to learn new things, so I dove in.

My job at APC was my introduction to the fascinating world of engineering, and although I wasn’t changing careers, my marketing role demanded that I knew my product and my industry inside and out, so, again, I dove in.

I knew I was in love with engineering the day I looked at an Automated Parking System and thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life… Really? Was I in love with a “machine”? Well yes, to my own dismay, yes I was.

These machines are beautiful and exciting from the inside out. I find passion and drive in the challenge of shifting mindsets, I find excitement and encouragement in promoting growth and real innovation, I find enthusiasm and eagerness in the promise of building, not only this business, but a whole new industry in the United States … from scratch!!!

The fray has been defying because my “beloved” has some sort of unfounded bad reputation, but I would tell you this, I am too old (and hopefully wise) to fall in love with “bad boys”. If I’m already married with Automated Parking, it is because I know that we both have a very long, happy and prosperous future together and I am betting what’s left of my life and career on it.

I have been converted. I no longer want skincare and jewelry, I want bolts and screws, “lifting” platforms and hydraulic oil. I fall for the sexy intellect of a PLC and the only control in my life is a control panel.
